2018 - 2022- Collaborated with the product team to translate requirements into well-defined technical implementations, optimizing the ad experience and delivery.
- Implemented an ad server integrator to fill third-party ads for additional partner inventory, increasing revenue for both Hulu and partner content, including NBC, ABC, HBO, and more.
- Developed a microservice called “frequency capper,” which reduced ad fatigue and ensured a more consistent ad experience across both partner and Hulu streaming content.

Software Engineer
2018 - 2018- Worked on the route reputation system for BGP-learned routes to prevent issues such as route hijacking, route leaks, and route prefix withdrawals. The system is built on Azure Service Fabric, a next-generation cloud application platform for highly scalable, reliable distributed applications.
- The system is a microservice consisting of front-end stateless services and back-end stateful services. I implemented the front-end API and debug API services, which are stateless.
- Created a route leak detection analyzer for the back-end stateful service. Each service has multiple partitions and replicas to ensure data consistency and availability.
- Built the entire end-to-end unit test suite for the service from scratch and allocated Azure machines for global deployment across all regions.
Software Engineer
2015 - 2017- Collaborated with product managers and SREs to refactor an outdated reporting data pipeline, now running Docker batch jobs on Mesos with Chronos for scalability, fault tolerance, and high efficiency.
- Implemented a notifier automation service under Marathon using RabbitMQ and Docker containers, monitoring network ad changes and sending email notifications to business teams for ad trafficking and revenue auditing.
- Developed API agents to pull data from third-party networks, storing it in the Riak database in XML format for reporting metrics such as impressions, clicks, and revenue.
- Built GoCD services and Docker images for network data components, automating and streamlining the build-test-release cycle for production.
- Added a new service and created a Mondemand metric for the DMP API, enabling teams to monitor real-time API performance with graphical displays.
